ABOUT THE PROJECT In our Project we want to encourage our students become active digital citizens for educational purposes and at the same time protect themselves from possible dangers. We want both to improve our students ICT competences and make them use efficiently, and learn how to keep their digital health and security. Through our Project our students will use various web 2 tools, make reasearch about digital litearacy and share with the school community. In our Project we will make use of Scientix resources during our activities which gives inspiration of our Project (http://www.scientix.eu/resources/details?resourceId=3099 ). This enjoyable educational game, play and decide kit, enable children both read, think speak, discuss and evaluate digital knowledge within 2 hours.The Project idea was set up by a group of teachers at the Scientix Ambassadors Course with the aim of integrating Scientix and Etwinning for a common purpose. #eTwCitizen16 PROJECT AIMS :
To develop students ICT competences and provoke their creativity.
To help our students gain digital litearcy through researches,displays, evaluations and play kits and increase their knowledge about various topics (digital health, security, cybercullying etc.)
To create an enjoyable learning environment at school.
To make use of web.2 tools and keep up with todays learning opportunities.
To develop students foreign language skills.
To help students learn about and respect to other cultures.
To integrate two valuable platforms Etwinning and Scientix on a common basis.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES: September: Students introduce their school/town.
October: A student group of 10 introduce themselves using voki / tolks or tellegami.
November: Students make create informative posters about digital security. Best posters are voted by tricider. December :Exchange of postcards with small gifts between countries for new year. Teacher online meeting. Making a project calendar.
January: Organising a free learning activity (teachers make a suggestion list by listly), and they are free to choose their activity from the list. Teachers share their opinion about the project on a padlet
February-March: Arrange a digital day at school and play-decide kit from scientix resources. Arrange school project boards/corners. Celebrate Safer Internet Day April : Play kahoot about digital awareness
*Students will develop their ICT competences and 21st century learning. *Students will learn about various topics such as digital security, cyberbullying, digital rights,online safety etc. through researches, plays, discussions. *Students will gain digital literacy. *Stıudents will communicate with each other, learn about other cultures *Students will develop their language skills. * Cooperation among schools will develop. *The quality of education and european dimension of teaching will be achieved through Etwinning and Scientix
